Product guarantees vs workmanship guarantees in landscaping

Your garden is an investment and just like any finished product (a kitchen springs to mind!), you want to know your outdoor area is going to last for years to come. However, it can become confusing with most businesses only discussing product guarantees.

Product Guarantees

These are standard guarantees given out by manufacturers for your paving slabs and other products. Aura Landscapes often uses Marshalls paving, which features 10 year guarantees on many products.

These product guarantees ensure that if the product is faulty, you can get a replacement. Faults can come in the form of issues with the finish of product or quality.

If any issues with products arise, your chosen landscaper should be able to contact the manufacturer and work with you towards a resolution.

Workmanship Guarantee

It’s important to note that product guarantees do not guarantee the workmanship of your patio or driveway. Issues like subsidence won’t be covered, as they’re due to poor installation rather than the product itself.
