Looking to transform your garden but have no idea where to start? We’re here to help with some patio design ideas from our in-house garden designer Andy:
Patio Size Ideas
When designing a new patio, your garden designer needs to take into consideration how many people live in your property. The larger the number of people in your home, the more patio space required.
Patio size also depends on your desired use for the garden. Are you planning to host parties and gatherings? Or are you looking for a zen space to spend your days with a bistro style patio set? In which case a small, intimate patio would be better suited.
Patio Shape Ideas
The style and shape of the overall garden design drives the patio shape. Do you like more modern, angular geometric shapes? Or are you looking for a softer, more informal, and traditional style?
See below a garden design Aura Landscapes created for one of our clients:
The brief was to encompass a funky lawn design with planting around edge to add colour. The client wanted an intimate area in the corner of the garden for cosy drinks as well as a large patio area for socialising with friends. This was placed in an area where the garden saw more sun.
As the theme was tropical and natural, Andy incorporated the use of Marshalls Symphony Vitrified planks that mimic the natural wood look.
Overall the clients loved the design! If you want a garden design suited to your needs then look no further. We can provide you with a design only solution or the complete package from design to build.
